While my landscape photos often take in wide, expansive views, much of nature can be appreciated only when looked at in closer detail.
The galleries below include some of my favorite images of flowers, insects and other close up views of nature.

Flowers never cease to amaze me. Their symmetry, color and fragrance all combine to help them serve their ultimate purpose.
I always thought little critters were fascinating. As a child I'd sit and watch the bugs and insects go about their lives. And I still do!
The shapes and colors of Nature are fascinating. From simple pebbles on a beach to alien life forms residing in tidal pools, we are constantly treated to visual delights.
